GreenTech USA LLC provided operations and maintenance services for a 3-million-gallon-per-day Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) wastewater treatment plant located in Kandahar.
The wastewater treatment facility included:
- Two 35,000-gallon sludge storage tanks
- Three 1.3-million-gallon sequencing batch reactors
- Two 250,000-gallon buffer tanks
The facility incorporated extensive underground infrastructure including reinforced concrete and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) process pipelines, electrical conduits, and Type 304 stainless steel process piping.
Three pump stations supported the plant’s operations:
- SBR pump station
- Final effluent pump station
- Sludge storage pump station
Each pump station included submersible pumps, motor-operated valves, and valve vaults installed below grade.
GreenTech’s scope included daily plant operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, monitoring of treatment processes, sludge management, pump and valve maintenance, and operation of the plant’s PLC and SCADA control systems.
